Also known as Aphrodite of Melos, this statue was discovered in 1820 and is said to be in Neo-classical style and built in 100 B.C. It was donated to the museum by Louis XVIII a year it was presented by the Marquis de Riviere. The parts of sculpture were done separately and were sculpted from two marble blocks.
