Santorini is the most popular island in the Cyclades and the whole Greece. Everyone who visits wants to see it so here are some specific numbers on when is the best time to see this gorgeous island. Temperature-wise June to September is the best time to go. Keep in mind these are averages and sometimes the temperature can go all the way up to 35-40 degrees. Keep in mind Santorini is the Southernmost island of the Cyclades while Milos is the Westernmost. As such, average temperatures are higher but the best months to visit are still June to mid-September. No rainfall is expected during the months of June to August and the sea temperature is perfect during July, August and September. Ios has mild rainy winters and warm sunny summers. The island is windy and you’ll notice this with all the beautiful windmills on it. During summer it is cooled by these North winds. Best time to go would be between June to August if you want to go to the beach. It’s a lovely destination in Spring as well, from April to May if you like excursions.
