The houses at Pelion dates back to 5,000BC. Centaurs, creatures with half horse and human bodies were first found in Pelion. Centaurs are believed to be descendants of Centaurus who mated with the horses of Pelion to form hybrids.Chiron, a divine centaur had a meeting with Achilles in the sloppy region of Mount Pelion and instructed him on how to become heroic at war.
