The island of Kos is known for its rich and colorful history that dates back from the Neolithic Era and has been in existence for two thousand years. The pieces of evidence were excavated from the Aspripetra Cave, among other places, and the ruins of the Asclipieion sanctuary, where pilgrims travel for cleansing rituals can also be found here.
